Born on March 4, 1959, Minette Libom Li Likeng obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences, graduating top of her class in 1982, then the diploma of Inspector of Financial Administration (Customs Option) from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1984.<\/p>\n

In 1992, she was appointed Head of Studies at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance. In 1995, she became a Verifying Inspector. In parallel with this position, she became a part-time lecturer at ENAM in 1997. In 2002, she was promoted to Head of the Legislation and Litigation Division at the Customs Directorate. From 2004 to 2007, she held the specific role of relay to the Director General of Customs (DGD) and handled all interim cases. She held the position of Director General of Customs from 2008 to 2015 before being appointed Minister of Posts and Telecommunications on October 2, 2015.<\/p>\n

In this position, his objective in 2023 is to mobilize the entire sector around the establishment of a dynamic ecosystem conducive to the digital transformation of Cameroon, as part of the National Development Strategy (SND30). Also, the MINPOSTEL performance project will focus on the execution of several projects included in our three operational programs:
\u2013 the densification of the network and the improvement of national postal coverage;
<\/span>\u2013 the development of the national digital ecosystem;
<\/span>\u2013 securing the national digital ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the postal sector, its flagship projects concern the restructuring of the postal sector with a view to the harmonious development of private activities and the modernization of the public postal operator (CAMPOST) through the development of infrastructure, the digitalization of services, and the development of innovative financial products.<\/p>\n

In terms of developing the national digital ecosystem, the Minister's objective is to promote the use of ICT and increase the digital transformation of Cameroonian society.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In March 2023, Minette Libom Li Likeng presided over the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the "Digital Woman" Festival. Organized by the Africanwits association, the theme of the Festival was "For an inclusive world: Innovation and technologies to empower women and girls to benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area."<\/p>\n

Minette Libom Li Likeng received three distinctions in Cameroon as part of the program set up by the United Nations entitled Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): the Best Agent award in 1988, the Best Agent in professional ethics in 2002 and the WCO Medal for significant actions for the influence of Customs at the global level in 2005.<\/p>\n
