He entered business by taking the path of the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1983, which allowed him to climb the administrative markets. A civil administrator, he was, from 1993 to 1996, Secretary General of the Western Province and, between 1996 and 2000, Prefect in the departments of Menoua and Koung-Khi. He was promoted on March 18, 2000 by Decree to the strategic position of Deputy Secretary General of the Prime Minister&#039;s Services, where he spent a little over eleven years.<\/p>\n<p>Methodical, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi pursued additional academic training. He obtained the prestigious Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) in fundamental rights and economic policy analysis from the University of Nantes in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>He then held several positions, becoming in May 2003, a member of the Steering Committee of the National Governance Program in Cameroon, a position to which was added in 2005, a position as a member of the Committee for the Fight against Corruption. He was for several years Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cement Works of Cameroon (CIMENCAM), a position he left in 2008. He was President of the Cameroon Institute of Statistics (ICS) from 2006.<\/p>\n<p>From March 2000 to early December 2011, he held the strategic position of Deputy Secretary General of the Prime Minister&#039;s Office. From December 9, 2011 to October 2, 2015, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi was appointed Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT). His arrival at MINEPAT took place in an international context marked by the aftermath of the financial crisis. However, Cameroon was then under construction and, as Minister of Economy, Emmanuel Nganou had to mobilize substantial capital to finance the clusters of productive and social investments that the country was preparing to launch. Thanks to his action, Cameroon obtained agreements from donors and economic partners from 2012.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On October 2, 2015, he was appointed Minister of Public Works in the Government of Phil\u00e9mon Yang. A strategic and logical change according to some who see in this appointment a desire of the Head of State to accelerate the completion of the projects for which Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi was active in order to mobilize upstream financing. The objectives of the Minister are to lead the major infrastructure projects within the framework of the policy of Major Achievements defined by the Head of State, to realize the objectives of infrastructure development by opening up the agro-pastoral and tourist production basins, to guarantee compliance with civil construction standards.<\/p>\n<p>With 700 km of paved roads expected in 2023, Cameroon intends to deliver twice as much infrastructure as in 2022, crossing the 10,000 km mark of paved roads in the country.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi est Ministre des Travaux publics (MINTP) depuis octobre 2015.
