Business travel to Douala centers around conferences, trade shows, and fairs, which combine transportation, accommodation, and catering. The Littoral region is connected to all neighboring regions by road and rail. Douala has an autonomous port and an international airport that can handle visitors and goods on a large scale; it is also home to the country's largest trade hub. It is a city conducive to business tourism, with several world-class business hotels.
The Yaoundé Convention Center is a convention and entertainment center, built on a total surface area of approximately 180,000 m2. Comprising numerous rooms spread over six floors, it hosts conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, and cultural exhibitions.
The architecture of the Yaoundé Convention Center, built with Chinese cooperation, offers panoramic views of the capital. Comprised of three buildings, it has rooms seating 25 to 2,000 people.
According to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), business tourism in Cameroon could generate a turnover of 1,068.9 billion CFA francs by 2028. Business tourism, manifested through events such as the Yaoundé International Business, SME and Partnership Exhibition, PROMOTE, the largest business exhibition in the entire sub-region, can therefore be a source of capital for the Cameroonian economy.

The electronic visa has come into force
In an effort to facilitate the visa process and secure the payment of consular services, Cameroon has activated the issuance of electronic visas. International travelers wishing to visit Cameroon no longer need to go to an embassy to apply for their visa. Construction of biometric visa issuance infrastructure has been completed at the international airports in Yaoundé and Douala, while the deployment of the new secure consular services system in Cameroon's diplomatic missions, consular posts, and international airports has been operational since summer 2022.
